Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Vildapride 50 Tablet as it may cause low sugar condition
• If you miss a dose of Vildapride 50 Tablet, take it as soon as possible or skip the missed dose and follow your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose
• This Tablet is only for adults and not for children below 18 years of age

Inform your doctor if you take the following medicines as they may affect the effectiveness of Vildapride 50 Tablet
 

• Antipsychotic medicines
• Corticosteroids
• Medicines used for the treatment of glaucoma
• Medicines used to increase heart rate
• Thyroid medicines
• Water tablets (release excess water in the body through urine)

Vildapride 50 Tablet is not safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers must consult their doctors regarding this

• This tablet may cause low sugar (hypoglycemia) when taken with other sugar tablets, alcohol or if you don't eat properly and delay breakfast, lunch, or dinner
• Always carry some sweets or chocolate or juice in case you suddenly feel cold sweating, cool skin, shaking of hands and legs, or any uneasiness
• Avoid any stressful work or tasks that require focus when you start to take the tablet
• Ask your doctor to check your kidney and liver functions regularly and check your blood sugar levels daily to see if your condition has improved
• Inform your doctor if you have stomach pain, tiredness, loss of appetite, dark-coloured urine, or jaundice (yellow eyes or skin)
