Glyciphage 500 Tablet may not be safe to take during pregnancy and breastfeeding, pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers must consult their doctors to get a medicine properly prescribed

• The chances of an increase in weight and low blood sugar are less when taking this medicine compared to other diabetes medicines
• Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar level may occur if you drink alcohol, or delay/skip a meal. Carry sugary chocolate or juice if you have a fainting sensation, sweating, or blackout feeling due to low blood sugar levels
• Tell your doctor immediately if you experience difficulty in breathing, continuous sick feeling, vomiting, and stomach pain as this tablet may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood
• Long use of this tablet may lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency which may lead to anemia, causing tiredness, pale skin, breathing difficulty, or headache. Inform your doctor and get supplements for this deficiency if required
• Your doctor will check your blood sugar levels and kidney functions regularly while you take this medicine
