Interactions / Warnings:
- It is not safe to consume Amaryl M 2mg Tablet while drinking alcohol as it may cause low sugar levels or Lactic Acidosis
- This Tablet is not for children
- Do not take a double dose of this medicine if you miss a dosage skip the dose and follow the regular schedule prescribed by your doctor

- Check your blood sugar level regularly while you are taking this medicine
- This medicine can cause low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia) when taken along with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss eating food
- Always carry some sweet food or fruit juice with you in case you experience cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremors (shaking of body parts without control), and anxiety (fear, stress, uneasiness) as these are signs of low blood sugar levels
- Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms, such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (signs of jaundice)
- Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing, continuous sick and vomiting sensation, and stomach pain as Metformin may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood
- Long use of Metformin may cause Vitamin B12 deficiency which may lead to anemia (lack of red blood cells to carry oxygen), causing fatigue, pale skin, shortness of breath, or headache
