Friptal Tablet is used in the treatment of uterine fibroids. It is used for intermittent treatment and pre-operative treatment of moderate to severe symptoms of uterine fibroid in adult women of reproductive age.

Yuliprist Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Friptal Tablet is a selective progesterone receptor modulator. It works by modifying the action of progesterone (natural female hormone). It is used either before surgery of fibroids or for intermittent (at regular intervals) treatment of fibroids. It helps reduce their size, stops or controls bleeding and increases your red blood cell count.

Q. What is Friptal used for?
Friptal is used to treat uterine fibroids (a non-cancerous growth in the uterus) and its associated symptoms such as heavy vaginal bleeding, prolonged periods and lower back pain.

Q. How and in what dose should I take Friptal?
The adult dose of Friptal is one tablet per day for three months (one treatment course). You can take it with or without food, however, take Friptal tablet strictly as per the advice of your doctor, preferably at the same time of each day. This will ensure consistent levels of medicine in your body.

Q. Can I take my usual birth control pills while taking Friptal?
Use physical forms of contraceptives like condoms while taking Friptal. The reason being Friptal may make your birth control pill less effective. You can consult your doctor for more clarity.

Q. Can I become pregnant while taking Friptal?
Yes, you can get pregnant while taking Friptal. However, stop using Friptal immediately and inform your doctor if you get pregnant.

Q. What are the common side effects which I can experience while taking Friptal?
Amenorrhea (absence of menstrual bleeding or very less bleeding) is the most common side effect of using Friptal, and it is totally normal. The other common side effects are hot flush (red and warm face), nausea (feeling sick), headache, dizziness, breast pain, and fatigue (feeling of tiredness). Most of these symptoms are temporary. However, if they persist, check with your doctor as soon as possible.
