Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Avoid drinking alcohol when you take this tablet as it can increase the risk of low sugar and a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis
• Do not take a double dose of this tablet if you miss a dose. Skip the missed dose and follow your regular schedule as prescribed by your doctor
   

Tell your doctor if you take any of the following drugs before you take Voglistar GM2 Tablet as it may reduce the tablet effect or make conditions worse
 

• Insulin
• BP tablets
• Water pills
• Medicines taken for heart failure
• Medicines taken for hypertension
• Steroids
• Thyroid hormone

Voglistar GM2 Tablet may not be safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult your doctor regarding this

• Take the tablet after eating breakfast
• Avoid skipping breakfast, lunch, or dinner
• Check your blood sugar levels regularly to see if the medicine has improved your condition
• Avoid any stressful work or tasks that require high focus
• Always carry sugar food, chocolate, or juice in case you feel low sugar symptoms like cold skin or sweats, dizziness and unbalanced feeling
• Consult your doctor and he will monitor your liver functions regularly

• Do not take Voglistar GM2 Tablet if you have diabetic ketoacidosis (high acid levels in the blood), type 1 diabetes mellitus, heart diseases, or severe kidney or liver disease
• People who have Vitamin B12 deficiency and low sugar must avoid taking this tablet
