- You have been prescribed Rizatriptan for treatment of migraine headaches.
- Some tips that may help avoid a migraine attack:\n\n
- Have your meals at the same time everyday \n
- Avoid bright lights and extreme temperatures \n
- Avoid loud music and noisy places \n
- Avoid chocolates, cheese, processed food, alcohol and smoking \n
- GetÂ enough sleep and avoid stress \n
- It may cause sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know howÂ it affects you.
- Notify your doctor if your migraine occurs more often after starting the medication.
- Notify your doctor if you have stomach pain, headache, bloody diarrhoea or worsening high blood pressure.
- InformÂ your doctor if you have a history of heart disease or stroke.
- This medication does not prevent migraine attacks from happening.

Before taking Maxalt Rpd, you should tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, liver or kidney disease or a family history of heart disease. You should also inform your doctor if you smoke, have had your menopause, or are a man aged 40 years or more. Let your doctor know if your headache is associated with dizziness, difficulty in walking, lack of coordination or weakness in the leg and arm. Your doctor should also know if you are taking medicines to treat depression such as sertraline, escitalopram oxalate, fluoxetine, venlafaxine, or duloxetine. It is also important to inform your doctor if you have had short-lived chest pain and tightness.

Taking an overdose of Maxalt Rpd may cause fainting, dizziness, slow heartbeat, change in electrical activity of the heart, vomiting and inability to retain urine or stools.
