Interactions / Warnings:
- You have been prescribed Rifaximin for the treatment of infectious diarrhea.
- It should only be taken for a maximum of three days. If your symptoms do not improve after three days, inform your doctor. Do not take a second course of Rifaximin.
- It may cause reddish discoloration of urine. This is normal and harmless.
- Stop taking Rifaximin and inform your doctor if your diarrhoea gets worse or starts to contain blood or mucus.
- Finish the full course of the medication, even if you feel better. Stopping the course early increases the risk of coming back of the infection.

This further increases the possibility of toxins reaching the brain which can cause abnormal brain function. Rifacus slows down the growth of bacteria in the gut, decreasing the symptoms in cases of liver disease.
