• Ovral L Tablet is used for contraception or birth control and in the treatment of irregular periods. It helps in contraception by preventing the release of the egg and stopping fertilization of the egg by the sperm

• Ovral L tablet prevents the egg from being released from the ovaries. It makes the fluid in the cervix thicker, which blocks the sperm from entering the womb and it also prevents thickening of the walls of the womb making it unsuitable for the growth of egg

• Ovral L Tablet can be consumed with or without food as per your doctor's advice

• The contraceptive tablet must be taken from the start of your menstrual cycle and continued for a month even if a pack gets over a new pack of birth control pills must be consumed as per doctors recommendations regularly

• If the dosage of Ovral L oral contraceptive tablet is missed use a condom during intercourse for a time span of 2 days

Side Effects

• Nausea and headache

• Breast pain

• Irregular uterine bleeding

• Consult your doctor before taking birth control tablet if you smoke and are above the age of 35, had a heart attack, had uterine/cervix cancer

• The Contraceptive tablet must not be taken under the influence of alcohol

• Avoid taking the contraceptive tablet if you are already pregnant 

• Inform your doctor if you have swelling or pain in your limbs, breathing problem, chest pain, or affected vision, as it may be a sign of a blood clot, and get immediate medical attention
