Levo-carnitine is used in the treatment of carnitine deficiency.

Nurokind-LC Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

• Take during or immediately after the meals and consume slowly.
• Take at evenly spaced times throughout the day (every 3 or 4 hours).
• Monitor your blood glucose levels regularly during levocarnitine treatment.
• Do not take this drug if you are allergic to levocarnitine or any of its ingredients. 
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Nurokind-LC Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Levocarnitine belongs to the class of medications called as amino acid derivative. It works by improving the low levels of carnitine in the body.

Q. Is Levo-carnitine useful in weight loss?
There are no strong evidences to show that Levo-carnitine is useful for weight loss. Hence, Levo-carnitine is only used in people who have deficiency of carnitine, a chemical that helps in energy production.

Nurokind-LC Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Nurokind-LC Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
