Biodrot 80mg Tablet contains Drotaverine 80mg used for the treatment of menstrual pain and stomach pain

Drotaverine is used for menstrual pain and abdominal pain. It relieves pain due to smooth muscle spasm like menstrual pain, pain due to kidney stone, pain due to biliary stone and gastro-intestinal colicky pain.

It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Biodrot 80mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor.

• Drotaverine helps relieve pain due to smooth muscle spasms such as menstrual pain, pain due to kidney stone, and colicky pain.
• Take it as per dose and duration suggested by your doctor.
• It may cause a drop in your blood pressure. Monitor your blood pressure regularly and inform your doctor if you have a history of low blood pressure.
• Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Drotaverine may cause dizziness.
• Inform your doctor if you have severe kidney, liver, or heart disease.

Biodrot 80mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Drotaverine is an anti-spasmodic medicine which relieves contractions (spasms) associated with smooth muscles in the abdomen.

Drotaverine is used to treat spasm of smooth muscles in organs such as stomach and heart. Drotaverine is mainly used to relieve painful spasms associated with chronic gastroduodenitis (inflammation of the stomach and the duodenum of the small intestine), gastric and duodenal ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (disorder of the intestines that leads to cramps in the abdomen) and many more conditions of the stomach and intestine that are associated with painful spasm. It may also be used to relieve pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhea).
