It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Amicon 10 Tablet

Amicon 10 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

• It may take 4 to 6 weeks for Amitriptyline to start working. Keep taking it as prescribed.
• It may cause sleepiness. Take it at bedtime and do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
• Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Amitriptyline as it may cause excessive sleepiness.
• Monitor your weight during the treatment as this medicine can cause weight gain and increased appetite.
• It may cause a sudden drop in your blood pressure. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
• Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts.

Amitriptyline : Constipation, Difficulty in urination, Dryness in mouth, Increased heart rate, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Sleepiness, Weight gain, Drowsiness, Aggression, Agitation, Sweating, Dizziness, Headache, Nasal congestion, Nausea, Tremor

Amicon 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Amicon 10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amicon 10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Amicon 10 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
