It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Afogatran 110 Capsule

Afogatran 110 Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

• Take it as per dose and duration suggested by your doctor. 
• Dabigatran Etexilate increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling).
• If you are going to have a surgery or dental treatment, you may be asked to stop taking Dabigatran Etexilate temporarily.
• Your doctor may get a blood test done to check kidney function before starting treatment with this medicine.
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. 
• Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor.

Afogatran 110 Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Dabirock 110mg Capsule is a novel oral anticoagulant (NOAC). It works by preventing the formation of blood clots in the body.

Q. When should I take Dabirock?
Mostly, Dabirock is suggested to be taken twice daily at the same time each day. The two doses should be taken at a gap of about 12 hours. If you miss a dose of Dabirock, then take it as soon as possible up to 6 hours prior to the next scheduled dose. However, skip the missed dose if your next dose is less than 6 hours away. Never take two doses of Dabirock at the same time.

Q. Can I drink alcohol with Dabirock?
Taking alcohol while taking Dabirock can increase the effect of this medicine, thereby increasing the chance of bleeding. Regular intake of alcohol while taking Dabirock can lead to gastric ulcer which might again cause bleeding. So, it is better to avoid alcohol while you on Dabirock. Do consult your doctor if any such episode of bleeding occurs.

Q. Can Dabirock cause hair loss?
As compared to other blood-thinning medicines, Dabirock does not usually cause hair loss. However, there do exist some rare reports of hair loss associated with Dabirock. Consult your doctor if you face hair loss while taking Dabirock to rule out any other causes of hair loss.

Q. When will I feel better after taking Dabirock?
Dabirock reduces your risk of developing blood clots in the blood vessels of your leg, lungs, heart and brain. You may not feel any difference after taking Dabirock. However, keep taking this medicine as prescribed by your doctor because you will still be getting its full benefits.

Q. Does Dabirock affect the liver?
Unlike other anticoagulants, Dabirock usually does not affect the functioning of the liver. But long-term use of Dabirock may increase the chances of mild liver injury in patients with elevated liver enzymes. However, the overall chances of developing any such problem is lower than other anticoagulants. It is advised that you inform your doctor if you have a history of liver disease before starting this medicine.

Q. How should I store Dabirock?
Dabirock should be stored at room temperature between 59°F to 86°F (15°C to 30°C). Store the medicine at a dry place and protect the capsules from moisture. Close the bottle tightly after use and keep it out of the reach of children. Once the bottle is opened, it should be used within 4 months. If unused within 4 months, please discard them safely.

Q. Can the use of Dabirock increase the risk of bleeding?
Yes, Dabirock increases the risk of bleeding. Always be careful while doing activities that may cause an injury or bleeding. Tell your doctor immediately if you notice any abnormal bruising or bleeding.

Q. Who should not take Dabirock?
People experiencing any unusual bleeding or people allergic to Dabirock should not take it. Dabirock should also be avoided by people with artificial (prosthetic) heart valves. Therefore, inform your doctor if you have ever had or plan to have a valve in your heart replaced.

Afogatran 110 Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Afogatran 110 Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
